Development of Laterite Roads & Hydraulic Structures
SC2R participated in a pilot project in the Iringa region for the reinforcement of strategic rural tracks (19 km), to secure access from agricultural areas to markets, in partnership with a German NGO and a local authority.
Our interventions :
- Stripping, compaction, and laterite re-profiling
- Installation of metal culverts and cyclopean concrete
- Mechanical stabilization of shoulders
- Construction of culverts and ditches
- Transfer of skills to a local team of technicians
